Compensation
  • Tech Lead 18:
    Salaries typically range from $96,557 to $128,743 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
Location
  • Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, currently requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week (subject to change).
  • Role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard, or Laval.
  • Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.

Team Overview

The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group, established in 2023, empowers customers and colleagues to deliver secure and reliable digital experiences. DTS objectives include:

  • Defining, executing, and sustaining the integrated technology target state and operational model.
  • Managing the rolling 3‑Year Digital Roadmap.
  • Keeping pace with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Leading integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations.
Workplace Solutions Team

The Technical Lead designs, develops, integrates, and implements short and long‑term solutions through software and infrastructure, involving project delivery, software maintenance, vendor collaboration, and ensuring solutions meet IT standards and business requirements.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee activities related to design, development, and integration of information systems.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop improvement strategies.
  • Review systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to delivery teams and manage third‑party vendor relationships.
  • Develop standards and processes for deployment, testing, and governance.
  • Lead expertise for complex elevated technical support issues, including solution lifecycle management.
  • Ensure system security, performance, and availability.
  • Administer and configure mobile devices for end users via Office 365, Intune, Hybrid (SCCM integration), and Azure Active Directory.
  • Escalate to management as necessary, acting as a customer advocate and keeping end users informed.
  • Oversee health, performance, and ongoing planning of the Endpoint infrastructure (hardware and software).
  • Implement tasks/projects critical to End‑point technologies (workstations and laptops).
  • Conduct assessments and report vulnerabilities; monitor ongoing management with operations teams.
  • Lead design, deployment, and ongoing health of meeting‑room technology, infrastructure, and Teams Room devices.
  • Contribute to EDC’s AI strategy by applying expertise and industry insights.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a subject‑matter expert on Endpoint Management, Microsoft 365 (Office Apps, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams), Windows Desktop Operating Systems, and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
