About the Role:We are seeking a
Service Now Security Operations (Sec Ops) Engineer to design, implement, and optimize vulnerability management workflows within our Service Now environment. The ideal candidate will have
hands-on experience integrating vulnerability scanning tools with Service Now, automating remediation processes, and leveraging CMDB relationships for accurate
risk assessment and prioritization.
Key Responsibilities:Integrate vulnerability scanners (e.g., Qualys, Tenable) with Service Now’s Security Operations (Sec Ops) module.Automate the creation and assignment of vulnerability response tickets based on scan results.Develop and maintain risk-based scoring models to classify and prioritize vulnerabilities.Leverage CMDB relationships to accurately assess business impact and improve vulnerability response efficiency.Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and Service Now platform teams to ensure accurate data flow and timely remediation.Optimize workflows and dashboards to enhance visibility into vulnerability posture and remediation progress.Maintain documentation, best practices, and standard operating procedures for Service Now Sec Ops integrations.Required Qualifications:Proven experience integrating Qualys, Tenable, or similar scanners with Service Now.Strong understanding of CMDB, risk scoring models, and ITSM processes
.Proficiency with Service Now scripting (JavaScript, Glide API) and workflow automation
.Familiarity with security operations, vulnerability management, and IT risk management frameworks
.Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional, remote teams.Preferred Qualifications:Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist – Security Operations (CIS-Sec Ops).Experience with data visualization or reporting tools within Service Now.Background in cybersecurity, Dev Sec Ops , or IT infrastructure
