Director of Application Development

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Director of Application Development for one of our large banking clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Lead and manage CIAM and authentication-focused application initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise security and digital banking strategies.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for stakeholder relationship management, collaborating with security, architecture, risk, compliance, and business partners.
• Provide hands‑on leadership to a team of 2–4 technical resources, offering guidance on design decisions, delivery execution, and best practices.
• Drive secure implementation of SSO, OAuth, and related identity protocols across customer‑facing platforms.
• Ensure applications meet banking‑grade security, scalability, and availability standards.
• Identify and manage delivery risks, technical dependencies, and operational impacts.
• Contribute to roadmap planning and continuous improvement within the authentication and identity domain.

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in CIAM and security technologies, with proven experience delivering identity solutions at enterprise scale.
• Deep hands‑on knowledge of security technologies, including:
  • Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM)
  • Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • OAuth (and related authentication/authorization standards)
• Demonstrated experience leading application development teams in a regulated or large-scale enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of secure application design and identity-driven architectures.
• Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders across technology and business teams.
• Experience delivering authentication and security-focused initiatives.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
