Data Migration Specialist - Dynamics CRM

Duration: 12 month contract (possibility for further extensions)

Client Location: North York, ON (Hybrid work model - 3 days per week in office)

Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

Akkodis is seeking the services of an experienced Data Migration Consultant to play a critical role in a major enterprise program modernizing core systems used to regulate Ontario's financial services and pension sectors.

In this role, you'll own and govern the end-to-end data migration approach for a large, complex CRM modernization initiative. Your focus will be ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and continuity as data is migrated from legacy platforms into the latest Dynamics CRM environment.

• Design and validate data migration strategies alongside architects and delivery teams
• Review and validate data profiling, cleansing, transformation logic, and migration scripts
• Lead migration testing, reconciliation, defect resolution, and post-migration validation
• Support cutover planning, execution, rollback, and contingency strategies
• Identify data risks and quality issues and escalate through program governance

• Source systems: Fox Pro and Dynamics CRM 8.2
• Target system: Latest version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Proven hands-on experience with enterprise-scale data migrations, ideally involving CRM platforms
• Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics CRM data models, entities, relationships, and APIs
• Advanced SQL skills for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and defect investigation
• Working experience with Python for data validation, automation, and migration support
• Solid understanding of ETL concepts, batch processing, and transformation logic
• Experience with data profiling, cleansing, normalization, and deduplication
• Strong knowledge of data reconciliation techniques, control totals, and auditability
• Experience planning and supporting cutover and rollback strategies in production environments
• Familiarity with migrating data from legacy systems (e.g., Fox Pro or similar) into modern platforms
• Experience working alongside system integrators and large cross-functional delivery teams
