Market Data – Vendor Manager – Associate - Toronto at Goldman Sachs

The Vendor Data Products team delivers analytics, pricing and reference data, both real-time and historical reflecting all major markets and financial instruments to our internal and external clients.

• The Vendor Data Products Vendor Management sub-team is responsible for negotiating all data licensing and commercial terms with third party vendors.
• Coordinate directly with internal business sponsors on data requirements as well as with legal counsel, Technology Risk, Compliance and the Vendor Management Office to ensure vendor solutions meet firm policies and standards.
• Identify cost saving opportunities and build strong relationships with all divisions in the Firm while supporting strategic projects.
• Maintain ownership of high profile vendor relationships for new contract negotiations, renewals and all other vendor oversight activities.
• Represent the Firm to vendors and maintain the Firm’s reputation with our suppliers.
• Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that requires problem solving, independent self-direction and open communication.

• Project or product management experience in global and/or large-scale delivery environments.
• Solid understanding of PMO fundamentals (e.g., project planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement, reporting).
• Highly motivated individuals who enjoy fast-paced environments and have a track record of meeting agreed timelines.
• Strong experience in vendor negotiation and relationship management.
• Senior stakeholders engagement; ability to confidently communicate with and influence.
• General understanding of market data licensing terms.

• Vendor management, data licensing and/or business analysis experience.
• Market data domain expertise and industry awareness.
• Experience managing projects in Jira.
• Experience with the MDSL MDM inventory system.

The expected base salary for this Toronto, Ontario, Canada-based position is $100,000 - $150,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
