Responsibilities
Accountable for end‑to‑end CMDB Enterprise Architecture, design, and implementation on the Service Now platform.
Lead CMDB design and configuration, including CI class modeling & extensions, IRE rules, CI lifecycle management, and data governance.
Architect and govern CMDB data ingestion and integrations from multiple sources (e.g., Service Now Discovery, SCCM, Intune, JAMF, Tanium, Crowd Strike, Cloud platforms, third‑party discovery tools).
Define and enforce CMDB data standards, including:
CI naming conventions
Mandatory attributes
Relationship modeling
Data ownership and stewardship
Own the CMDB technical roadmap, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with ITIL and enterprise architecture standards.
Ensure strong alignment of CMDB with ITOM (Discovery).
Skills
10+ years of Service Now experience with strong focus on CMDB / ITOM architect roles.
Strong understanding of & hands‑on experience with:
Service Now CMDB/CSDM
Service Now Discovery & Service Mapping
Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE)
ITOM, ITSM, ITAM/SAM integrations
Experience defining and managing CMDB Health KPIs and dashboards.
Service Now Certifications (Mandatory):
Certified System Administrator (CSA)
CIS – Discovery or CIS – Service Mapping
