This role leads a large-scale, high-risk, enterprise-wide digital and business transformation initiative for the Ministry of the Attorney General. The Project Manager will oversee integrated planning, coordination, and delivery across multiple units, ensuring alignment with modernization efforts. The position demands strong leadership, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and expertise in agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.

Scope
  • Provide integrated project management leadership and expertise on a large-scale, highly complex, high-profile, and high-risk initiative that is enterprise-wide.
  • Responsible for project management of work streams, deliverables, and milestones across multiple units.
  • Ensure accountability for the project’s centralized group of units and their successful full life cycle delivery.
  • Ensure the project is delivered on time, effectively, and efficiently.
  • Manage preparation and implementation of long-term business, functional, and technical capability roadmaps for product and process evolution due to modernization projects.
  • Maintain a comprehensive project plan that includes dependencies on other projects and initiatives across the Ministry and OPS.
  • Ensure responsiveness to agile project delivery while tracking tasks, milestones, work streams, risks, and issues across a diverse, integrated project team.
  • Coordinate and track tasks, milestones, work streams, and complex risks and issues using modern project management tools.
  • Drive cohesion within the CDT project across all units and stakeholders.
  • Track activities and milestones specific to an IT vendor delivering the digital justice solution.
  • Prepare and maintain an integrated, detailed project plan for digital and business transformation for the Ministry of the Attorney General, Superior Court of Justice, and Ontario Court of Justice.
  • Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, and ad-hoc project reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Align CDT Project Plan with other Ministry and OPS modernization initiatives.
  • Manage risks and issues.
Experience and Skillset Requirements Mandatory Requirements
  • Certified Project Manager.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience delivering complex digital/I&IT projects using agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of project management best practices, tools, and organizational structures.
  • Proficiency in project tracking tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • Ability to develop visually appealing project milestone and timeline products.
  • Proactive risk identification and mitigation strategy development.
