The Opportunity
At the DMZ, great ideas move fast, but founders often face one barrier that can slow everything down: access to legal knowledge. The Manager, Startup Legal Support helps remove that barrier.
In this role, you’ll build and lead a dynamic program that connects startups with practical, accessible legal guidance. Working in partnership with the Lincoln Alexander School of Law and the Office of the General Counsel, you will bring together law students, legal professionals, and founders to create a learning ecosystem where education and real-world impact meet.
You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the Startup Legal Support Centre— from shaping workshops and advising clinics to coordinating supervised student support and founder education. Your work will help entrepreneurs understand contracts, governance, risk, and compliance, empowering them to build responsibly and confidently from day one.
Most importantly, you’ll champion equitable access to legal resources by supporting culturally diverse founders who may face financial barriers, ensuring innovation is not limited by access to expertise.
If you’re passionate about entrepreneurship, experiential learning, and making complex knowledge accessible, this role offers a unique opportunity to strengthen startups while shaping the next generation of socially minded legal professionals.
