What is the Opportunity?

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of business and technology initiatives that advance Aecon’s strategic and operational objectives. Working closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams, this role ensures projects are executed with discipline, transparency, and a strong focus on organizational value. Please note this is a 12-month contract opportunity.

What You’ll Do Here:

Project Leadership

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring execution within defined scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource forecasts, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, manage scope changes, and address risks and issues through structured governance and escalation processes.
  • Prepare and deliver regular status updates, steering committee briefings, and executive reporting.
  • Stakeholder & Team Engagement

  • Partner with executive leaders, business units, and technical teams to drive alignment and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Coordinate with vendors and external partners to support project objectives.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to project team members to enable effective delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization to promote a collaborative, customer‑focused environment.
  • Business Integration & Change Enablement

  • Translate business objectives into actionable workstreams that align technology solutions with operational needs.
  • Lead development and execution of communication, training, and change management plans.
  • Assess training needs, coordinate delivery, and support development of user documentation and job aids.
  • Support the adoption of project delivery best practices, including Agile, Scrum, and product‑centric methodologies.
  • What You Bring to the Team:

  • Minimum of 6 years of project management or project supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies;
    Scrum Master certification with 3–4 years of experience required.
  • Working knowledge of PMP practices, SAP, and Business Warehouse (BW).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Proven ability to build trust, influence key stakeholders, and navigate complex organizational environments.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams.

    The expected salary range for this opportunity is $100,000-$127,000
