Audio Visual Specialist/IT Ontario
Are you an experienced Audio-Visual Specialist with a passion for technology and a knack for creating seamless meeting experiences? If you have 3-5 years of AV support experience, are proficient with both Macs and PCs, and excel at setting up and troubleshooting conference and meeting technology, we want you to join our dynamic team!
Responsibilities- Independently operate, maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, repair, and manage A/V systems and peripherals.
- Perform daily morning checks of all conference rooms to proactively identify issues and ensure all are in working order.
- Own pre‑meeting A/V checks for high‑profile events and VIP video meetings.
- Troubleshoot, upgrade, and/or replace AV componentry.
- Coordinate external vendor support when required.
- Fully meet key support performance metrics, such as trouble ticket SLAs.
- Manage application usage incidents fully, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Proactively seek out additional work during downtime.
- Build professional relationships with customers and other teams.
- Maintain professionalism and composure when interacting with all employees.
- Train backup staff and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
- Determine additional support needed when handling sensitive inquiries.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- 3‑5 years prior A/V work experience preferred.
- Industry certification preferred.
- Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) preferred.
- Hours:
8:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday to Friday. - Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem‑solving.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Current knowledge or ability to learn computer‑based systems required for functions of position.
- Required to maintain an overall professional appearance and attitude.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures required.
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift or move 40 lb. or greater frequently.
$30 – $30.50 USD
