** Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
** We are seeking a dynamic Manager, Data Platforms to lead our Kafka, Managed File Transfer, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) teams. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, technical innovation, and team engagement across mission-critical data platform services, with accountability for 24/7 support and service reliability.
* Lead and manage a team of system engineers responsible for design, implementation and support of Real-time messaging (Kafka), Managed File Transfers (Go Anywhere), and RPA (UFT) platforms.
* Oversee and coordinate 24/7 support for all managed platforms, ensuring rapid response and resolution of incidents to maintain service availability.
* Serve as the escalation point for critical incidents, coordinating with business owners and external vendors to resolve issues within agreed SLAs.
* Oversee the technical architecture, design, development, and operations of the 3 platforms, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
* Manage end-to-end availability and performance of mission-critical services, building automation to prevent problem recurrence.
* Establish and maintain robust processes, procedures and design patterns to ensure consistent, reliable operations across all platform services. This includes cluster configuration, monitoring, scaling, and disaster recovery planning, user and routing onboarding, PCI and security compliance and encryption.
* Drive automation and continuous delivery, leveraging software provisioning, configuration management, and source code management tools.
* Partner with architecture and development teams to design scalable solutions, participate in quarterly roadmap planning, and lead technical review sessions.
* Develop and maintain system and support documentation, including operational guides, network diagrams, and infrastructure design.
* Inspire and develop team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

*** Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in leading platform engineering and support teams
* Proficiency in enterprise Managed File Transfer solutions such as FORTRA Go Anywhere MFT, IBM B2B Integrator/File Gateway, Axway Managed File Transfer.
* Proficiency in administrating the following Kafka Components:
Apache Kafka, Kafka Brokers, Zookeeper, Schema Registry, Connect cluster, REST proxy, Replicator etc.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and hands-on experience implementing Azure based solutions
* Strong background in enterprise-grade infrastructures, operations, and/or systems engineering.
* Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network infrastructure components. Knowledge of SCP/SFTP/HTTPS and NDM protocols.
* Proficiency in multiple scripting languages, including Shell script, Power Shell, Python, or others.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and technical peers.
