We are seeking a highly experienced Systems Testing/QA Specialist to lead testing efforts for complex health-sector IT projects. The role involves performing functional, non-functional, and integration testing on a variety of applications, including Panorama, REACT, Panorama IMMS & Inventory core and extension applications. The ideal candidate will create comprehensive test documentation, lead testing initiatives, and collaborate with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Perform functional and non-functional testing for Panorama, REACT, Panorama IMMS & Inventory applications, enhancements, and defect resolutions.
Test bug fixes in Business Objects (BO) reporting as per defects identified by the business or critical Panorama changes.
Develop comprehensive test documentation: test plans, test cases, test scripts, automated test scripts, test results reports, and defect logs.
Transform business and system knowledge into effective test case planning and execution.
Create test data, analyze results, retest until expected outcomes are achieved, and ensure client acceptance.
Recommend changes to improve testing quality and validate results in live environments.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to establish effective test plans.
Apply QA and technical expertise to track and resolve testing and production issues, ensuring client service integrity.
Lead and mentor junior testers, plan, organize, and coordinate testing efforts across multiple streams.
Participate in QA and cross-functional team meetings, walkthroughs, and triage sessions.
Perform integration testing on key product modules, including Ontario Health Client Registry, Provider Registry, and Audit Services.
Must-Have Experience
10+ years with federal, provincial, or broader public-sector healthcare providers.
Knowledge of Public Sector Enterprise Architecture, Unified I&IT Project Methodology, OPS Standard Systems Development Methodologies, and Ministry IT project approval processes.
Experience with large, complex IT health-related projects.
7+ years of experience in system testing, including strategy, planning, execution, defect logging, and automated testing.
Hands‑on experience with functional, non‑functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Experience with testing tools:
Selenium, Rational Clear Quest, SOAP‑UI, POSTMAN, Load Runner.
Strong knowledge of ETL process testing, APIs, web services (HL7‑FHIR, REST/JSON/XML), reporting solutions, and security components (SAML, JWT).
Experience in both traditional and Agile/Dev Ops environments.
Strong understanding of the full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and consulting skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience developing automated test scripts and performance testing scenarios.
Knowledge of information management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
Experience in validating deployment of releases in production environments and providing testing reports.
Prior experience with enterprise‑level performance testing in highly available systems.
Familiarity with structured methodologies for application development, design, implementation, and maintenance.
