Job Title:
IT Cyber Security Project Manager (Contract)

Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity projects from initiation through closure.
Manage scope, schedule, cost, resources, risks, and issues across multiple concurrent initiatives.
Drive governance adherence and ensure alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, financial forecasts, and executive status reporting.
Conduct forecasting and variance analysis; manage financials using Clarity (or similar financial management tools).
Collaborate with cybersecurity, technology, risk, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Challenge estimates, timelines, and risks in a professional and diplomatic manner to ensure realistic planning.
Present updates and facilitate discussions with senior executives and leadership teams.
Types of Projects
The Project Manager may lead initiatives across various cybersecurity domains, including but not limited to:
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Privileged Access Management (PAM)
API Security
SIEM
Database Monitoring
Vulnerability Management
Regulatory-driven remediation programs
Projects may include net-new initiatives, regulatory-driven programs, and remediation efforts.
Must-Have Qualifications
5+ years of Project Management experience, with strong focus on Cyber Security projects .
Experience delivering IT projects within a major financial institution .
Proven end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity initiatives.
Strong financial management experience including forecasting, variance analysis, and budget management.
Hands-on experience with Clarity (or similar enterprise financial management tools).
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Strong governance experience, including documentation, reporting, and compliance adherence.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage conflict, competing priorities, and executive expectations with diplomacy and confidence.
Nice to Have
PMP, CSM, or related certifications.
Experience working in hybrid Waterfall/Agile environments.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as OSFI, PCI-DSS, SOX, NIST, or ISO 27001.
