Key Responsibilities Lead and conduct business analysis to assess business problems and opportunities.
Elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements to support solution design and implementation.
Facilitate JAD sessions, stakeholder interviews, and product demonstrations/reviews.
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
Test and validate I&IT solutions against defined business requirements.
Document, track, and communicate software defects.
Apply business process re‑engineering principles to recommend cost-effective service delivery improvements.
Conduct business analysis activities at appropriate levels of detail throughout all project phases.
Develop performance measures and evaluate business analysis outcomes.
Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and provide regular status reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
Promote and advise on business analysis policies, standards, best practices, and processes.
Technical Knowledge & Expertise 5+ years of experience in business analysis supporting enterprise I&IT applications and solutions.
Strong understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Experience with structured, object-oriented, and Agile approaches to requirements gathering.
Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques including:
Business functional modeling
Business event modeling
Business process mapping
Use case modeling
Conceptual and logical data modeling
Process and data flow modeling
Business rules analysis
Experience with advanced application prototyping.
Experience creating and managing user stories using Jira and/or Azure Dev Ops.
Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps) and Microsoft Dynamics.
Knowledge of internet-based and distributed system design methodologies.
Understanding of front-end and web-based technologies.
Experience with COTS solutions, data mining/reporting tools, and database management systems.
Advanced knowledge of hardware/software operations, productivity tools, client-server architecture, and online processing systems.
Awareness of emerging IT trends and technologies.
Regulatory & Accessibility Knowledge Knowledge and understanding of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
Understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
Core Competencies Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Ability to provide technical expertise and advisory support to stakeholders.
