RQ- Business Analyst

Must Haves:

Knowledge and experience with Open Text Content Suite and other Open Text Products.

Business Analyst with over 10 years of experience in requirements gathering, developing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), creating process maps, and planning, organizing, and executing testing initiatives.

Proven ability to lead and conduct business analysis activities for projects, assess business problems and opportunities, and translate functional needs into clear technical business requirements.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

• Business Analyst with over 10 years of experience in requirements gathering, developing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), creating process maps, and planning, organizing, and executing testing initiatives.
• Extensive experience in manual functional and non-functional testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and AODA accessibility testing.
• Proven ability to lead and conduct business analysis activities for projects, assess business problems and opportunities, and translate functional needs into clear technical business requirements.
• Skilled in preparing high-level cost estimates aligned with project scope and timelines.
• Strong understanding of application development methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
• Knowledgeable in using tools that support Web Accessibility testing in compliance with AODA legislation.
• Experienced in Agile-Scrum environments, with hands‑on use of standard and Dev Ops processes and tools.
• Provide cross‑training and knowledge transfer to project and team members.

• Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with Open Text Content Suite xECM and related Open Text products.
• Strong understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Test Life Cycle (STLC), and project management methodologies.
• Experience with analysis and design methodologies, including structured testing approaches.
• Proven track record working on medium‑to‑large‑scale projects as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant.
• Experience with enterprise business architecture principles to ensure technology recommendations align with organizational goals.
• Skilled in developing complete business cases from initiation through approval.
• Experience in service delivery management, including portfolio, program/project management, and resource management to support business analysis activities and advise on I&IT needs.
• Proficient in documenting and analyzing business requirements and functional designs.
• Knowledge of risk‑based and evidence‑based testing practices.
• Skilled in analyzing business rules to support the development of test cases, traceability matrices, and expected result definitions.
• Experience with creating test data, test scenarios, and test user accounts.
• Ability to write database queries for test data extraction and validation of data integrity.
• Experience defining entry, exit, and acceptance testing criteria.
• Public sector experience.

• Strong communication capabilities, including preparing clear documentation such as reports, reviews, and assessments.
• Able to present ideas and recommendations effectively in a user‑friendly manner while maintaining a high level of customer service for internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience delivering presentations to project teams and stakeholders.
