Cloud Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Platform Engineer with strong Dev Ops engineering expertise to design, build, automate, and optimize our cloud-native infrastructure on AWS. This role will be responsible for platform reliability, CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud security best practices while enabling development teams to deliver scalable and resilient applications.

The ideal candidate combines deep AWS architecture knowledge with hands-on Dev Ops implementation experience across infrastructure, automation, observability, and security.

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Develop reusable Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) modules using Terraform or Cloud Formation.
• Architect multi-account AWS environments with governance and guardrails.
• Implement high-availability, fault-tolerant, and disaster recovery solutions.

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, Jenkins, or AWS Code Pipeline.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration management.
• Implement containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Enable blue-green, canary, and rolling deployment strategies.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Cloud Watch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
• Drive SRE best practices including SLIs, SLOs, and incident response automation.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative improvements.

• Implement IAM best practices, least-privilege models, and role-based access control.
• Integrate Dev Sec Ops  practices into pipelines (SAST/DAST, vulnerability scanning).
• Ensure compliance with corporate security and regulatory standards.
• Manage secrets and encryption standards (KMS, Secrets Manager).
• Partner with application teams to define cloud architecture patterns and deployment standards.
• Provide technical guidance on AWS services, cost optimization, and performance tuning.
• Contribute to platform documentation, runbooks, and operational playbooks.

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or Dev Ops roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, Cloud Front, Route
  53, etc.).
• Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines in enterprise environments.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Power Shell).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (VPC design, subnets, routing, load balancers, DNS).
• Experience implementing monitoring and logging frameworks.

• AWS Solutions Architect or Dev Ops Engineer certification.
• Experience with multi-region architectures and global deployments.
• Familiarity with Git Ops practices.
• Experience with cost optimization and Fin Ops principles.
• Experience supporting regulated environments (financial services, healthcare, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and automation mindset
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering and product teams
• Ownership mentality with a focus on platform reliability and continuous improvement
