Job Description

Data Designer role is within the Credit Risk Business Intelligence (CRBI) Team to help propel our Data product strategy forward. Responsibilities include data analysis of the existing data products on upstream data initiatives for Wholesale Banking, and execution of the data strategy of the eventual migration of CRBI to FRP. The role also involves engaging key business SMEs and upstream/downstream tech partners on ongoing upstream changes impacting regulatory changes, coordinating regression testing for all business segments utilizing CRDM granular data and CRBI aggregated data for ongoing regulatory initiatives, actively participating and leading impact assessments for critical projects for regulatory reporting, and being responsible for all ongoing systems requirements for all regulatory changes and updates to control documents to comply with SOX, Data Governance and Compliance, EDMO Tier 1 Reports, and to support data initiatives from data sourcing strategies via Rahona/Collibra and the analysis required to the execution of the data strategy of the eventual migration of CRBI to FRP.

The role is funded within the approved FY26 spend envelope for the Credit Risk Data Aggregation and Adjustments Pod.

Customer
  • Develop and promote data models using industry standard modeling tools
  • Assess business requirements by researching, analyzing and documenting business data requirements
  • Define, build and manage data dictionary / catalog for respective data platforms, systems, servers and applications
  • Ensure metadata and data lineage is captured and compatible with enterprise metadata and data management tools and processes
  • Run quality assurance reports and resolve data integrity issues to ensure accurate reporting and data records
  • Gather, review, analyze, profile, validate, and map system data into the prototyping solution for further integration within the data warehouse. Ensure reporting and analytical business needs are met
  • Develop solutions and recommendations for improving data quality and data integrity issues
  • Analyze data issues and work with development teams to resolve issues
  • Understand data initiatives and capabilities, data governance principles and how they apply to the business segment
  • Ensure business data and information is retained and disposed in compliance with enterprise data standards, policies and guidelines
  • Contribute to various data activities and processes as assigned
  • Be knowledgeable of practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keep updated on emerging trends for own functional area
  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalates non‑standard, high risk activities as necessary
  • Participate in and help implement continuous process improvements
  • Identify, recommend and effectively execute standard practices applicable to the discipline
  • Adhere to internal policies, procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Keep updated on emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts; maintain a culture of risk management and control
