McCain Foods is undergoing a digital transformation to use data more effectively across its global agriculture business. The Business Data Analyst will focus on the Grower Relationship Management (GRM) and Sourcing activities, working with regional teams and grower partners to integrate data into business processes, drive sustainable raw supply, cultivate relationships, and support data-driven decision making.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional and regional teams and the technology team to define business requirements, build operational metrics, develop reports, and design data-driven processes that enable informed decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Define key process indicators to drive improvement actions aligned with McCain’s Agriculture efficiency goals and identify data points to measure performance.
  • Act as the global data lead for GRM to ensure consistency and standard data across regions; maintain the GRM data model to reflect operational needs.
  • Serve as a data subject-matter expert on GRM and sourcing processes.
  • Collaborate with global technology and analytics teams to identify data sources and ensure access when digital systems are implemented; in regions without systems, work with local teams to define practical tracking methods.
  • Propose analytics and reporting strategy in collaboration with the Global Product Manager, using Power

BI dashboards and standard reporting tools.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear business requirements to guide analytics development, dashboard design, and data sourcing.
  • Design wireframes and oversee the development of intuitive dashboards that align with business requirements and drive continuous improvement and user adoption.
  • Support user training and adoption of reporting tools.
  • Build regional business relationships to identify value-driven analytics.
  • Distill data to share actionable operational insights with global and regional stakeholders, including GRM agriculture scorecards; improve data literacy across regions.
  • Work with the Data Governance team to identify and resolve data quality issues at the source and in a timely manner.
  • Lead medium-scale data-driven projects, collaborating with technology, analytics, and regional teams.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

  • Familiarity with the food/agriculture industry is a plus.
  • Experience in a regional (multi-country) or global role.
  • Data analysis, data modeling, and awareness of data best practices.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI; hands-on experience is a plus.
  • Project management experience (e.g., Agile or Scrum).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to gather and document business requirements and translate complex concepts into business language and user stories.
  • Experience ensuring data mapping and dashboard development align with business needs and project goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking; proactive and results-oriented.
  • Accountable with a collaborative, "get things done" attitude to deliver data for informed decisions.
