Work Scope & Objective:

The IBM Maximo Solutions Architect will focus on the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Program, specifically the Maximo Implementation and other asset-based, business-critical technology solutions aligned with the Client’s EAM Strategy. Reporting to the Enterprise Architecture Team, the architect will oversee solution design, technology development, standards, and policy development, supporting the overall EAM vision and organizational change management. The role involves partnering with key client stakeholders, technology leadership, and project delivery teams to determine technology usage and drive secure, robust, end-to-end solutions.

• Provide expert advice through in-depth architectural analysis of the technical environment, enterprise-wide, and business requirements.
• Lead development of solution architectures supporting key business objectives; prepare technical plans and ensure resource availability.
• Advise on technical aspects of solution development and integration, ensuring standards, policies, and security practices are applied.
• Plan, create, and present IT solution workflows, drawings, design specifications, and network architecture diagrams.
• Develop functional prototypes and visual communications for client and internal stakeholder review.
• Update platform architecture requirements with evolving technologies, vendor products, and solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to review platform technology objectives, ensure conformance with enterprise architecture, and recommend optimal solutions. Facilitate meetings for technical review, decision making, and problem solving.
• Act as liaison with stakeholders to employ correct tools and technologies; advocate for improved end-to-end IT solutions across the Region.
• Provide guidance and advice to IT Enterprise Applications delivery teams.
• Contribute to strategic planning, assess approaches for short-medium term solutions, monitor emerging technology trends, and create technology roadmaps.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in solutions design, technical design, software architecture, database design, and EAM (IBM Maximo).
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with IBM Maximo Asset Management, including asset lifecycle, inventory, contracts, purchasing, resources, work management, preventive maintenance, and security.
• Experience implementing large-scale solutions, with strong understanding of data, security, system resilience, integration, and application development.
• Solid experience with architectural and asset management technologies/frameworks.
