Akkodis is seeking an Intermediate Solutions Designer to lead solution architecture and design for complex, mission‑critical systems within a large Public Sector environment. The role focuses on Java/Spring Boot microservices, enterprise integrations (IBM BAW, Open Text CMS), Azure Cloud & Dev Ops, and data migration strategy for high‑availability, secure public‑sector platforms. The successful candidate will partner with architects, developers, DBAs, QA, and business stakeholders to produce scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with Public Sector environment.
Scope- Design hosting and application technology solutions based on service specifications, standards, policies, best practices, and cost models to meet project deliverables.
- Define and maintain solution architecture, integration patterns, API standards, and deployment strategies across environments.
- Lead design walkthroughs, produce and update architecture documents (integration diagrams, data flow models, deployment guides).
- Solution Architecture Artifacts
: current/future state diagrams, integration patterns, API/interface specs, security models, deployment guides. - Design Documentation
: detailed component designs for Java/Spring Boot microservices, IBM BAW interactions, Open Text CMS integrations, and JEE server configurations. - Data Migration Package
: migration strategy, staging table designs, PL/SQL scripts, validation/rollback plans, and audit controls.
Must Have:
Architecture & Design- 5+ years designing scalable, secure enterprise solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
- Integration expertise with IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW).
- Hands‑on experience with Open Text CMS APIs for metadata, content lifecycle, and enterprise content management.
- Experience with JEE application servers such as IBM Web Sphere and Liberty 8.x.
- Deep PL/SQL experience for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading.
- Experience designing and managing staging tables, data validation logic, and rollback strategies.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation, configuration management, and IaC concepts.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum delivery teams, contributing to technical refinement, sprint planning, and architectural oversight.
