Senior Solutions Architect, Financial Services, AWS

We are looking for an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to advise our Financial Services & Insurance customers on how to best adopt and leverage AWS technology. Ideal candidates have experience in the FSI industry, knowledge of financial services applications and infrastructure, and a solid understanding of the transformative value of cloud technologies.

As a Senior Solutions Architect (SA) you partner with customers, AWS Sales, and other AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. You help drive revenue growth, serve as a trusted customer advocate, and shape strategy to broaden the AWS platform usage in client organizations.

You will also join a team that invests in your success with a comprehensive learning program, including self‑paced learning, instructor‑led training, hands‑on projects, and job shadowing.

• Build deep relationships with customers to become a trusted advisor for critical workloads supporting digital transformation and the cloud journey.
• Support revenue objectives through adoption and migration onto the AWS platform, partnering with the sales team.
• Educate customers on AWS value proposition and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure successful deployment.
• Contribute to AWS internal and customer‑facing publications such as whitepapers and blogs.
• Act as liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support to address customer needs.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of technology domain experience (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
• Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.

• Experience architecting or deploying cloud/virtualization solutions for enterprise customers.
• Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation.
• Knowledge of database design and implementation.
• Knowledge of large‑scale automation and workflow management.

The base salary range for this position is  -  CAD annually. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, RRSP, DPSP, paid time off, and other resources to improve well‑being.
