Associate Director, Data & AI Solution Architect

Job Description

The Capital Markets Quantitative & Technology Services - Data AI and Research Technology (DART) team is looking to hire an Associate Director, Data & AI Solution Architect to lead the design of secure, scalable and cost‑effective data & AI solutions for building Data Products, Signals and AI Agents for Investment Banking, Global Markets, and Investment Research.

This role focuses on delivering high‑impact data and AI solutions that support the bank’s most critical analytics and investment products.

• Work directly with product teams to capture detailed requirements and develop end‑to‑end solution architecture specifications covering functional and non‑functional aspects.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Data & AI governance teams to ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy, AI governance frameworks, security policies, compliance and architectural standards.
• Partner with engineering teams to validate that the delivered solution matches the prescribed architecture specification.
• Present architecture artifacts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• 5+ years as a Solutions Architect focused on large‑scale Data and ML projects.
• Proven experience in architecting hybrid cloud solutions that leverage both on‑premises and cloud services for compute and storage, aligned with performance, compliance and scalability goals.
• Solid experience collaborating with Engineering teams, Product and Program management, Data and AI governance groups.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Identity and Access management solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands‑on experience in Data Engineering and applied Machine Learning.

• Experience with Azure Databricks, Kubernetes.
• Experience working with both traditional and alternative data.
• Prior experience supporting data architecture initiatives for capital markets and finance‑driven initiatives.
