Domain Architect - Banking & Financial Services

Cognizant is looking for a Domain Architect – Banking & Financial Services who will play a pivotal role in shaping data architecture strategies for the clients. In this position, you will leverage your extensive experience in Azure Solution Architecture to design and implement robust solutions. Your expertise in commercial lending and cards & payments will be key to driving innovation and efficiency within our financial services domain.

• Lead the design and delivery of architecture solutions for banking and financial services projects in Canada.
• Develop and implement technology strategies to support digital transformation and business growth.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within banking technology domains.
• Manage large-scale strategic engagements, ensuring successful outcomes and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver complex solutions.
• Provide thought leadership by publishing insights and educating stakeholders on industry trends.
• Oversee the development of reusable assets, solutions, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards throughout all engagements.

• 18+ years in senior leadership roles within technology or banking along with experience in complex solutioning for Banking and Financial services.
• Possess a strong background in Data architecture with a focus on Azure Solution Architecture.
• Demonstrate expertise in Commercial lending and cards & payments domains.
• Relevant functional or technology areas, with recognised certifications.
• Proven track record of managing large, global teams and projects.
• Strong understanding of Canadian banking industry processes, products, services, and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse and qualify sales opportunities.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in project management, budgeting, and business operations.

• Previous experience in senior technology roles such as CTO or Lead Business Architect.
• Ability to develop and oversee strategic roadmaps for technology initiatives.
• Experience with industry-standard certifications and best practices in banking technology.
