CGI is looking for a skilled and collaborative Azure Data Engineering Specialist with strong expertise in Databricks to help design, build, and scale data solutions across cloud and hybrid environments. Your future duties and responsibilities:
What You’ll Do
As a Data Engineering Specialist, you’ll play a key role in delivering robust, scalable data pipelines and collaborating with clients and internal teams to unlock the full potential of their data.
Data Pipeline Development
• Design and implement ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, ADLS, Synapse, and Azure SQL.
• Build batch and streaming data pipelines with Spark/PySpark on Azure Databricks.
• Work with large-scale, complex datasets from diverse sources in enterprise environments.
• Write advanced SQL and Python code to support data transformations and analytics.
Prototyping & Deployment
• Translate client needs into scalable data engineering solutions.
• Develop proof-of-concepts and evolve them into full production pipelines across cloud and on-prem platforms.
• Collaborate with clients to explore data sources and build insightful Power BI dashboards.
Collaboration & Support
• Share technical expertise with fellow data professionals and analytics teams.
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including 3+ years working with Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Spark/PySpark, and Unity Catalog.
• Proven ability to build streaming pipelines on Azure.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Solid understanding of data analysis, storage, orchestration, and big data environments.
Nice to Have
• Experience with Informatica or other ETL tools.
• Exposure to machine learning projects or AI data workflows.
• Familiarity with workflow tools like Airflow or Jenkins.
• Experience with Spark/Hive/HDFS.
• Strong Power BI skills, including DAX, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Logic Apps.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,-$,. This role is a future opening.
