Digital Marketing Specialist (Contract – 2 Openings)
Location: Toronto (Bremner)
Contract Length: 3 months
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (preferred 3 days onsite; open to 2 days onsite if needed)
The Digital Marketing Specialist is an execution-focused role supporting campaign managers in a fast-paced marketing environment. This position is primarily responsible for building, testing, and deploying email campaigns, with additional support for templated web content and webinar execution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects while meeting tight SLAs.
This is a hands-on role emphasizing accuracy, quality assurance, and collaboration rather than campaign strategy.
Primary Responsibilities Email Marketing Execution (Primary Focus – ~75%)Build, test, and deploy email campaigns using a marketing automation platform (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing)
Use pre-built templates with drag-and-drop functionality to assemble emails with personalization and dynamic content
Build and manage audience segments and marketing lists, applying basic segmentation logic
Perform thorough QA prior to deployment, including:
Verifying image and icon rendering
Testing hyperlinks and tracking
Ensuring formatting and personalization function correctly
Partner with campaign managers for final reviews prior to launch
Build and update templated landing pages, event pages, and campaign pages using a web content management system (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager)
Copy and paste approved content into templates and verify layout, spacing, and formatting
QA forms and back-end functionality, including confirmation messages and data capture routing
Ensure pages render correctly across devices and meet basic UX expectations
Set up webinar registration pages, confirmation emails, and automated reminders using platforms such as ON24 (Zoom experience acceptable)
Support dry runs and live webinars by managing logistics, routing questions, and providing light technical assistance
Build and deploy post-event follow-up email journeys based on attendee behavior
Support multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
Meet SLA requirements and manage time effectively
Communicate proactively when workload capacity changes
Identify issues independently, troubleshoot where possible, and escalate when needed
3–5 years of hands-on digital marketing execution experience (email-focused)
Strong experience building and deploying emails in a marketing automation platform (Microsoft Dynamics preferred; similar platforms acceptable)
Experience with web content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager (Word Press experience alone is not preferred)
Exposure to webinar platforms such as ON24 or Zoom
Comfortable working with templates, QA processes, and structured workflows
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Works quickly while maintaining attention to detail
Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable flagging and solving issues
Clear communicator who can ask for help when needed
Two interview rounds (a third round may be added if needed)
