We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quality Engineer with a focus on Automation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, test automation, and software development. This role involves designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the highest level of product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for various applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and create test plans.
  • Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and ensure product quality.
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve test coverage and quality.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues in automated test scripts and test environments.
  • Continuously improve test processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Document test cases, test results, and provide regular reports on test coverage and quality metrics.
  • Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations
  • Leads initiatives. Able to coordinate resources and manage problems to resolution when necessary.
  • Qualifications:

  • Typically, 4-7 years of work experience in IT or business environment and/or BS/BA or MBA/MS in computer science, engineering, information systems, math or business.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance and test automation.
  • Problem solving skills including the ability to troubleshoot and identify problem areas throughout testing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Collaborate well with others. Ability to translate technical concepts into easy to understand terms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Knowledge of performance testing and security testing.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Salesforce knowledge an asset

    $75,900.00 - $

    Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
