Social Assistance AI Verification & Assessment - Senior PIA
Location:
Toronto, Ontario Duration: 3 Months.
Job Description:
This position requires a dedicated professional to lead or support the development of privacy impact assessments. The role involves ensuring compliance with various privacy legislations and addressing clients' concerns regarding privacy risks. The candidate will work onsite, Monday to Friday, during standard office hours. Required
Skills & Qualifications
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- Excellent knowledge of privacy and security concepts, trends, and issues
- Experience in conducting Privacy Impact Assessments in a public sector context
- Knowledge of Ontario’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) and its municipal equivalent
- Familiarity with federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and US PATRIOT Act
- Ability to lead, manage, or support the development of a PIA independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills with technical and business audiences
- Experience in developing risk assessment tools, mitigation plans, and methodologies
- Understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related standards
Skills & Qualifications
- Professional certification in a related discipline such as IT security or privacy
- Experience providing education and training related to privacy
- Knowledge of the policies and procedures of the Ontario government
- Analytical skills to understand access and privacy implications of policies and AI tools
- Knowledge of Information Technology concepts impacting personal information protection
- Lead or support the development of privacy impact assessments
- Ensure compliance with privacy legislation and mitigate privacy risks
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address privacy concerns
- Develop and implement risk assessment tools and methodologies
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences on privacy matters
