Overview

Datastage Developer — Toronto - Hybrid (4 days WFO)

• Develop and implement ETL solutions:
  Design and build Data Stage jobs to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target data warehouses or data marts.
• Data Warehousing and Data Integration:
  Focus on data warehousing and data integration projects, ensuring data consistency and availability for business intelligence and analytics.
• Performance Tuning:
  Optimize the performance of ETL processes to meet business requirements and ensure efficient data processing.
• SDLC and Agile Methodologies:
  Participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and potentially work within agile frameworks.
• Work with business analysts, data architects, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Production Support:
  May be involved in providing support for existing Data Stage jobs in production, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• IBM Info Sphere Data Stage:
  Strong proficiency in using Data Stage for ETL development.
• SQL and Databases:
  Solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases like Oracle.
• ETL Concepts:
  Deep understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing principles, and data integration best practices.
• Unix/Linux:
  Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems, including scripting (e.g., Unix Shell Scripting).
• Data Modeling:
  Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques.
• Agile and Dev Ops:
  Experience working in agile environments and potentially with Dev Ops practices

  Strong proficiency in Data Stage for ETL development.
• SQL and Databases:
  Solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases like Oracle.
