WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Assist the Director in delivering and implementing Data, Reporting, Analytics systems, products and services in support of Enterprise Control Testing Operations and ECCO leadership. Manages the development, implementation and support of business analytics initiatives and projects. Lead enterprise-level data analytics, reporting, and insight generation to support senior management decision-making. This role partners closely with peers, Technology partners and business stakeholders to design, build, and maintain scalable reporting solutions, develop advanced analytics, and ensure effective use of RBC’s enterprise data platforms.

WHAT

WILL YOU DO?
  • Develop and deliver management reports (e.g., service level, performance metrics) and automated dashboards (using tools like Tableau) to enable real-time insights and executive oversight.

  • Support monthly business reviews, test planning, and SLA reviews through data-driven storytelling for leadership (e.g., Board/Committee updates).

  • Partner with ECCO, 2

    LOD, and Platform teams to address enterprise-wide reporting needs, management queries, and process improvements.

  • Act as a data subject matter expert (SME), providing guidance to ECCO teams and supporting strategy development, control trend analysis, and senior executive presentations

  • Manage and enhance ECT data systems/infrastructure, including building data feeds, connections, and repositories (e.g., data warehouses/lakes).

  • Collaborate with data owners, CDO, T&O, and partners to ensure seamless data access and alignment with enterprise data strategy.

  • Oversee reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau) and file storage solutions (e.g., SharePoint), managing access, capacity, and best practices.

  • Monitor data risks, perform accuracy checks (e.g., data lineage/transaction testing), and ensure compliance with data governance standards.

  • Partner with key stakeholders across ECCO, 2

    LOD, and T&O to align priorities and delivery.

  • Manage competing priorities, timelines, and expectations across multiple initiatives.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of analytics processes, tools, and reporting capabilities.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • 5+ years of work experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or related roles within a large, complex organization.

  • Strong heads-on experience with:

  • SQL (complex querying, data transformation, integration with other tools)

  • Python (data cleaning and preprocessing, transformation, scripting)

  • Tableau (dashboard development, executive reporting)

  • Experience working with enterprise databases and large-scale data platforms.

  • Proven ability to translate business questions into analytical solutions and actionable insights.

  • Familiarity in operational risk management (first and/or second line of defense capacities) and/or experience working in an operations environment supporting multiple business units.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on competing priorities, and manage timelines and expectations to ensure timely execution across all deliverables.

Nice-to-have
:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, or related background.

  • Previous experience working in highly regulated business environments or financial services sector.

  • Knowledge and/or experience working across different platforms and/or functional units of a diversified financial services firm, including exposure to multiple geographies
