Enterprise Architect

Overview

What is the opportunity? The central architecture team is not aligned to a specific domain within markets but rather supports the entire department. You’ll have broad exposure to all asset classes and aspects of the business front to back, and exposure to a wide breadth of technologies and design patterns reflecting the varying needs of different parts of the business.

• Initial primary focus will be on evolving our capital markets GenAI framework and aligning it with the enterprise offering. This will involve collaboration with senior executives on design choices to ensure our domain requirements are incorporated in the target solution.
• Help to form and communicate technology guidance to standardize development of commonly needed capabilities. For example, work with SMEs within markets and enterprise to define our API strategy, build consensus, document it on Confluence, present it to senior leadership, and show dev teams how to implement it.
• Review proposed architectures to align specific team requirements to the high-level goals of capital markets leadership and the bank. Considerations may include infrastructure choices (e.g., internal cloud vs. physical machines), data stores (e.g., Redis versus MemSQL), and integration points (e.g., RBCAppA vs RBCAppB).

• Strong understanding of programming (language tradeoffs, threading implications, etc.)
• Strong understanding of data technologies (stores, access patterns, caching, etc.)
• Broad understanding of capital markets
• Foundational knowledge of machine learning and deep learning
• Understanding of model architectures (transformers, GANs, etc.)
• Understanding of GenAI capabilities/use cases and concerns/considerations
• Understanding of prompt engineering and RAG techniques
• Understanding of Ethical AI and responsible implementation
• Knowledge of data processing and management
• Experience with large language models (LLMs)
• Experience working on GenAI solutions in large, regulated organizations
