Solution Architect, Managed Services – Rogers Communications
Join Rogers Communications as a Solution Architect and help organizations across Canada develop secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions. The role focuses on designing complex, customized solutions for large enterprises and government agencies.
Role PurposeThe Solution Architect is responsible for designing and creating complex, customized solutions. They work closely with clients to understand specific needs, develop integrated solutions using Rogers’ standard products and services, collaborate with Account Executives and internal teams, and help drive revenue growth.
Key Accountabilities- Provide pre‑sales technical advisory services to sales teams
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations
- Analyze and understand customer requirements
- Design, architect, and document solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to estimate costs and resources
- Interface with key decision‑makers (CIO to IT staff) of current and potential customers
- Build relationships of trust, act as a trusted advisor, and participate in technology assessments
- Participate in discovery sessions, develop proposals, and provide technical guidance
- Advance solution specifications internally for product fulfillment
- Maintain deep product knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Understanding and design of APNs
- Knowledge of configuring associated technical parameters such as IP type (IPv4, IPv6), BGP, and DNS server settings
- 5+ years of progressive experience in solution architecture or related roles
- Strong technical background in enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and networking
- Proficiency in architectural frameworks and methodologies
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of security best practices and data integration
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment
- Travel to customer offices required
- Ability to work from Rogers offices 3‑5 days per week
