Security Specialist

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Risk Reporting Senior Manager for the Enterprise Protect Risk Factory, the Security Specialist will join a high-performing team of Technology and Risk professionals. This role leverages Business Intelligence expertise to ensure data quality, build analytics tools, and support enterprise risk management initiatives through automation and stakeholder engagement. The position is responsible for maintaining data integrity and reporting accuracy
, leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and collaborating with internal stakeholders across a highly matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and document User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes

Track testing results, issues, and bug resolutions using Jira and Confluence

Produce detailed UAT closure reports with findings and recommendations

Develop and maintain data quality assurance (QA) scripts to validate completeness and consistency of enterprise risk data

Use SQL for large-scale data analysis, ETL processes, and performance monitoring

Leverage Excel VBA to automate manual processes and enhance workflows

Maintain communication with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement

Work with nd Line of Defense on challenges as required

Engage Enterprise Protect stakeholders and data providers to validate data quality and integrity of metrics included in reporting

Support change awareness activities and provide expertise on KRI design

Develop materials and support ongoing data analysis requests

Demonstrate expert knowledge of data sources, data lineage, and reporting data mart structures

Required Experience:

+ years of experience in data analysis, QA, or reporting within a financial or risk-focused environment

Undergraduate degree

Experience collaborating in highly matrixed, cross-functional environments

Experience participating in complex, comprehensive, or large initiatives

Nice-to-Have

Experience:

Knowledge of financial industry technology controls and security risk issues

Experience supporting risk management and enterprise reporting environments

Required Skills:

Proficiency in SQL

Advanced Excel skills including VBA scripting

Experience with Python

Preferred

Skills:

Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools

Experience with Jira and Confluence

Strong workload prioritization and time management skills

Ability to deliver quality results with limited management guidance
