SD-WAN Network Engineer

Role: SD-WAN Network Engineer- (Bilingual:

French and English)

Quebec City or Montreal, Canada

Skill Set

Required:

Palo Alto Networks certifications (e.g; PCNSA, PCNSE)
Cisco Certifications (e.g; CCNA, CCNP)
Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching (VLANs), WAN technologies (MPLS, internet circuits), and QoS.
Skills required in Palo Alto, Cisco switches, Routers & Security (firewall devices).
Hands-On experience in Implementing, Migrating the SD-WAN solutions (Palo Alto Prisma), Troubleshooting issues.

Responsibilities
Understand the SD-WAN architecture, Configure Palo alto firewalls and gateways, Setup segmentations and Policies.
Manage the transition of traffic and services from old WAN to new SD-WAN infrastructure.
Implement firewall changes to support required access will adhering to security policies.
Maintaining computer networks routers, switches, Aps, firewalls, SD-WAN devices and other physical hardware
Installing, Troubleshooting and configuring network equipment, Firewall and Wireless devices
Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management
Implementing disaster recovery procedures
Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems
Governance and reporting
Overall responsible for Network Infrastructure availability and Performance.
Create and maintain detailed documentation on the network design, configuration and Process.
Implement and manage security policies, ensure the network is protected against threats.

Qualification
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information technology, and 7-10+ years of prior relevant experience
Possess a network engineering technical certification equivalent to a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Palo Alto Networks certifications (e.g; PCNSA, PCNSE)
Hold a CompTIA Security+ certification.

Experience with Network Administration, Network Security, Networking Standards, Network Protocols, NIST/FISMA standards and controls, SIEM platforms and other networking tools, Network Hardware Configurations
Ability to write and verbally communicate information security and risk-related concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Must have strong problem-solving, analytical, communication and people management skills
