IT Infrastructure Architect

The IT Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing, architecting, and leading highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions across on-premise, private cloud, and public cloud environments. This role requires deep technical expertise across infrastructure platforms, cloud services, networking, databases, security, and high availability/disaster recovery designs. The architect will act as a technical leader, working autonomously on complex and high-visibility initiatives while collaborating with business teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect and design highly available and operable infrastructure solutions
Design and support infrastructure across ESXi, private cloud, public cloud, and x86 commodity hardware
Architect Microsoft Azure network and PaaS-based solutions
Design and support Linux and Windows-based environments
Architect application platforms using JBoss, NodeJS, and Spring Boot
Design database architectures including Oracle RAC, Oracle Cloud at Customer (OCaC), MS SQL, Mongo

DB, and Cassandra
Define storage architectures using SAN, DAS, and NAS technologies
Develop and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies
Design and review network architectures including DNS, load balancers, firewalls, and CDN technologies
Ensure infrastructure security best practices are embedded in all designs
Lead architecture analysis and design activities for large, complex, and high-risk projects
Act as a lead architectural expert for project teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors
Provide guidance on infrastructure standards, tools, processes, and procedures
Work independently while managing multiple architecture initiatives simultaneously

Required Skills:

Strong experience architecting highly available infrastructure solutions
Expertise with virtualization platforms such as ESXi
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure networking and PaaS services
Experience working with Linux and Windows operating systems
Hands-on experience with middleware and application platforms (JBoss, NodeJS, Spring Boot)
Database architecture experience with Oracle RAC, OCaC, MS SQL, Mongo

DB, and Cassandra
Strong understanding of HA and DR design principles
Networking expertise including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and CDN technologies
Strong focus on infrastructure security and compliance
Ability to lead complex architectural discussions and initiatives
Excellent analytical, leadership, and organizational skills

Education:

Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate (required)
