Infrastructure Manager

Responsibilities
A Toronto based IT Company specialized in IaaS is looking for a bright, passionate, and very organized Infrastructure Manager to oversee the successful completion of projects and manage their Infrastructure team of 7 people, growing. This position is responsible for overseeing both the technical and managerial aspects of the infrastructure department.

The Infrastructure Manager’s role is to plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure.

This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems.

The Infrastructure Manager will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.

The candidate will collaborate with other members of the company and deal with clients.

The candidate must have hands‑on experience to take part in the daily work.

Qualifications

A University degree in the field of computer science preferred

Experience managing and delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence (10 years or more)

Knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.

Successful leadership of an infrastructure team.

Hands‑on experience in troubleshooting hardware.

Knowledge of current protocols and standards
