Position SummaryThe Content Design Team is looking for an experienced and ambitious Content Designer to design and develop world-class product content. The Content Design team is part of the User Experience (UX) Department and strives to empower our customers with a consistent, relevant, and useful content experience as they interact with our software, helping them care confidently. As a Content Designer you will transform platforms into intuitive products by researching, drafting content strategies, refining mock-ups and prototypes, and writing clear content that customers need to learn and use our products successfully.
You will work closely with UX Designers, Engineers, and Product Leaders throughout the design process; from researching and drafting content strategies for products, to refining mock-ups and content prototypes, to writing the words and designing content our customers need. You will advocate for customers and ensure the final product is intuitive and easy to learn and use. You will explore AI-driven content design approaches and contribute to conversational design solutions for simple, accessible user interactions.
KeyDuties and Responsibilities
- User-centered content design: design content to meet user needs and make complex language and processes easy to understand; implement writing style and standards.
- Content architecture: structure content for easy reuse and publishing across platforms, personas, and markets.
- User focus: identify user content needs, translate user stories, engage with users, and manage competing priorities.
- Agile working: experience in agile environments and ability to advise colleagues on agile methods.
- Relationship management and collaboration: communicate clearly with project teams and stakeholders; focus on user needs.
- Prototyping: build content from prototypes and work in an open, collaborative environment.
- Analytical and strategic thinking: apply basic data analysis to inform content decisions and summarize findings.
- AI: leverage AI as a design partner for ideation and content exploration; refine AI-generated outputs to align with standards.
- Conversational design: design basic conversational flows that are clear, empathetic, and accessible.
- Content Design background in a product-focused environment; education/training background or degree in English, UX writing, technical communications, or journalism.
- Experience writing and structuring language for audience needs, technical communications, instructional, and UX writing.
- Foundational understanding of user-centered design techniques.
- Experience with AI-assisted tools for ideation, prototyping, or content exploration.
- Exposure to conversational design and simple, accessible conversational flows.
- Experience with content management systems and agile development with cross-functional teams.
- Domain knowledge a plus; prior Point Click Care or EHR software experience is an asset.
- Strong independent work skills and excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Knowledge of Paligo, Pendo, Jira, Figma, Power BI, Smartsheet is a plus.
Compensation
: $45 - $55 an hour. Canada base salary details are provided in the job posting and total rewards package discourse with recruiters.

Contract; 15-month term.
For Remote Roles
:
If remote, there will be in-office events that require travel to and from Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City offices for onboarding, team events, and meetings.
For Hybrid Roles
:
You should reside within commutable distance to the specified office; expect regular in-office events with your team.

: A portfolio of work (UI content, instructional documentation, microcopy, and where possible AI-assisted or conversational design samples) must be attached for eligibility.
