Why This Role Exists

We’re partnering with a large financial services client to help them build the next generation of digital tools that help financial advisors tell a clear, complete story about a client’s financial life. Their advisors rely on these tools every day to create reports, presentations, and proposals that guide real financial decisions. This role exists to shape that experience end-to-end—from early discovery through delivery—while elevating design quality across a complex, enterprise environment.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll lead experience design for a core advisor-facing product focused on portfolio management and reporting. The work sits at the intersection of financial complexity, systems thinking, and human-centered design.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Own the experience vision and interaction design for a complex advisor reporting and presentation tool
  • Translate ambiguous business and financial problems into clear, intuitive product experiences
  • Lead discovery efforts, including workshops, journey mapping, and concept ideation with cross-functional partners
  • Design low- to high-fidelity wireframes, flows, and prototypes using Figma
  • Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to validate and evolve designs
  • Present design strategy, rationale, and trade-offs to senior stakeholders and executives
  • Apply and extend enterprise design systems to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Mentor other designers through critique, feedback, and hands-on guidance
  • Help define success metrics and evaluate outcomes based on user and business impact
  • This is a hands-on role with strategic influence. You’ll be designing regularly while also shaping direction and decision-making.

    Who This Role Is For

This role is a strong fit if you:

  • Enjoy tackling complex systems and making them feel simple and intuitive
  • Are comfortable leading through influence rather than authority
  • Can confidently explain why a design decision was made—not just what was designed
  • Thrive in collaborative, enterprise environments with real constraints
  • Want to remain an individual contributor while operating at a senior, leadership level
  • What We’re Looking For

    Required Experience

  • 7+ years of experience designing digital products across web and/or mobile
  • Strong expertise in product and interaction design, from concept through delivery
  • Advanced proficiency with Figma for design, prototyping, and collaboration
  • Experience working with or contributing to a design system
  • Proven ability to articulate design strategy, rationale, risks, and trade-offs to diverse audiences
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional product teams
  • Solid understanding of accessibility and inclusive design practices
  • Nice to Have

  • Experience designing within financial services or other regulated industries
  • Experience with Salesforce or large-scale SaaS platforms
  • Background in systems thinking or complex workflow design
  • Exposure to incorporating AI-driven features into digital products
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX, HCI, Design, or a related field
  • Work Environment & Logistics

  • Hybrid role requiring 4 days per week onsite
  • Collaborative design team where designers are active partners in product strategy
  • Opportunities to work on products used by millions of people
  • Why Join

  • Design is valued, visible, and supported at a leadership level
  • You’ll work on meaningful products that directly impact people’s financial lives
  • You’ll be surrounded by experienced peers who care deeply about craft and outcomes
  • The environment supports growth, mentorship, and work-life balance
