Your Role

The E‑Learning Specialist plays a key role in advancing the Firm’s learning and development strategy by designing, developing, and delivering high‑impact digital learning experiences for legal and business professionals across the Firm. Reporting to the Senior Director, Learning & Development, this role is responsible for creating engaging, accessible, and scalable e‑learning solutions that support onboarding, professional development, compliance, and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities E‑Learning Design & Development
  • Design and develop engaging, interactive e‑learning modules tailored to legal and business professionals.
  • Apply instructional design principles to create content that supports adult learning and professional development.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex legal and business concepts into accessible digital learning experiences.
  • Ensure all content is aligned with firm standards, branding, and compliance requirements.
Learning Technology Management
  • Manage and maintain the Firm’s Learning Management System (LMS), including uploading content, tracking usage, and generating reports.
  • Evaluate and implement new learning technologies and tools to enhance digital learning delivery.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to e‑learning platforms and coordinate with IT as needed.
Program Coordination & Delivery
  • Support the rollout of firm‑wide training initiatives, including onboarding, compliance, and professional development programs.
  • Coordinate scheduling, communication, and logistics of e‑learning programs and blended learning experiences.
  • Monitor learner engagement and completion rates and provide support to users as needed.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct regular reviews of e‑learning content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness.
  • Gather and analyse feedback from learners to inform updates and improvements.
  • Stay current with trends in digital learning, legal education, and instructional technology.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work closely with the Learning & Development team, HR, KM, IT, and legal practice groups to align e‑learning initiatives with firm goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on best practices for digital learning.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation across the Firm.
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Learning Technologies, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience designing and delivering e‑learning programs, preferably within a professional services or corporate environment.
  • Experience working with legal professionals or in a law firm setting is considered an asset.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with e‑learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate).
  • Experience managing and administering Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as UKG, Cornerstone, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with multimedia production tools (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite) and basic graphic design principles.
  • Understanding of SCORM, xAPI, and other e‑learning standards.
Knowledge & Competencies
  • Strong grasp of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Ability to translate complex content into engaging, learner‑friendly formats.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with subject matter experts.
  • Bilingual/French language skills are an asset.
  • Detail‑oriented, creative, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive learning design.
