Position: Staff UX Designer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff UX Designer to join our Design Team at Caseware, a leading SaaS organization. As a Staff UX Designer, you will play a critical role in designing exceptional user experiences for our cloud-based audit, financial reporting, and data analytics solutions that empower accounting professionals worldwide.
You will work closely with the Product, Engineering, and Design Teams to create intuitive, user-centered designs that help our customers work more intelligently, gain deeper insights, and deliver impactful results.
This is a New Role This is a Full-time permanent position
Location:This is a hybrid role requiring the successful candidate to work 3 days a week in our Toronto office, located at 351 King St E, Suite 1100, Toronto, ON.
What you will be doing:
Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, user needs, and technological capabilities/constraintsDesign wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that effectively communicate design conceptsConduct user research, usability testing, and validate designs to ensure they meet user needsCollaborate with product managers and engineers to define and implement innovative solutionsMaintain design systems and ensure consistent user experience across all Caseware productsStay current with UX design trends, tools, and emerging technologies is the accounting and audit software industryCreate and maintain detailed design documentation including user flows, interaction models, and design specificationsHelp resolve customer-impacting design issues, ensuring the quickest and safest resolutionsContribute to the overall design strategy and vision for Caseware’s productsAssist in cross-department design initiatives that enhance the overall product ecosystemParticipate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to fellow designersWhat you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent professional experienceA hands-on approach—you thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, and work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to take ideas from sketches to shipped productsA degree in Design, HCI, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience8 or more years of experience in user experience or related fieldsStrong interaction and visual design skills, with a portfolio that highlights your design thinking and your ability to create engaging user experiences, especially in AIExcellent communication and storytelling skills to explain design decisions, collaborate across teams, and advocate for usersProficiency with design, prototyping, and AI tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma Make, Loveable, Cursor, Replit, ChatGPT, or similarSolid understanding of design systems and component-based designKnowledge of accessibility standards and designing for diverse user needsUnderstanding of responsive design principles and cross-platform user experiencesFigma for UI/UX design and prototypingAI tools, such as, ChatGPT, Figma Make and ReplitDesign systems implementation and managementAngular components for implementation referencesUser research and testing platformsCollaboration tools including Microsoft Teams, Jira, and ConfluenceBonus points if you have:
Have experience designing for accounting, Auditing or financial services.Understand AI ethics, bias reduction, and trust frameworksBring technical fluency to collaborate effectively with engineers on AI integration and feasibilitySalary Range: The annual base salary for this position is between
$130,000 CAD and
