Description

Scope

• Contribute towards testing activities for the delivery and product management life cycle of the CDT project. The resource will be responsible for the following activities:
• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive multi-year test strategy
• Lead and execute the development and implementation of an automated regression test suite for Phase 1 and Phase 2, refine the test suite with every iterative software update. This includes selection of software, if required.
• Lead team and participate in the execution of test cases and scripts to verify solution. Reconcile, manage, record and track system or functional defects, break/fixes identified through requirements traceability across all types of testing. This encompasses both project work for Phase 2 and production support for Phase 1 of the CDT solution.
• Effective communication and collaboration with Testing Lead, project manager, vendor, business project resources and developers to ensure application quality and alignment with project timelines (e.g., notify and resolve team barriers, respond to changes in direction, demonstrate user centric solutioning mindset)

Assignment Deliverables

• Lead the design and implementation of a multi-year test strategy.
• Lead the design and implementation of an automated regression test suite
• Identify risks and take proactive actions to mitigate issues impacting quality or timelines.
• Lead and mentor QA team members, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to align QA efforts with project goals.
• Track and report on QA metrics, test progress, and quality indicators. Communicate risks, issues, and status updates to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.

Skills

Experience and Skillset Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

• 8+ years of demonstrated QA experience, including leading QA teams, defect tracking using a collaborative tool to manage defects and change request and to communicate status of these to all project participants
• Knowledge and experience in the use of version control systems on one or more platforms, preferably Microsoft Dev Ops or Selenium
• Experience coordinating testing activities with project managers and others team members
• Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle
• Conceptual skills to see the big picture and assist in integrating QA/testing processes and standards
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; organizational, creativity and perseverance skills; verbal and written communication skills; and interpersonal skills

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience in planning, organizing and implementing testing efforts at the specified experience level
• Knowledge of structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications
• Knowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools and version control systems on one or more platforms, like Microsoft Dev Ops or Selenium
• Experience initiating the specification, preparation, implementation and execution of tests, monitor the test results, checking the entrance and exit criteria
• Experience executing functional tests, non-functional tests and systems level integration tests
• Experience coordinating testing activities with project managers and others team members
• Experience supporting user acceptance testing and participating in UAT activities
• Experience contributing the testing perspective to other project activities, such as development, integration testing, etc
• Experience with quality assurance principles, practices, tools and structured methodologies
• Experience creating testing strategy documentation, test plans, test cases and test data for various types and phases of testing, including technical and business functional validation
