Solution Architect - Payments. Client is a Toronto-based IT consulting boutique that strives for excellence in customer service and delivery in financial services and fintech industry. They focus on technology advisory services, application development, cloud computing, integration solutions, and enterprise big data and analytics. With a team of highly knowledgeable business and technical experts, we provide strategic, mission critical solutions to our clients.
Looking for a Solutions Architect – Payment who has experience and expertise in modernizing and integrating payment platforms for Financial Services clients. You will be responsible for providing leadership, designing and implementing a new payment platform for our clients.

Downtown Toronto, Hybrid work environment - 3 days in office/week. Perm / FTE role:
Salary:
Market rate + benefits and performance bonus
- Lead strategy and transformation, migration roadmap, based on client needs and industry trends.
- Produce estimates for the system migration, design, development and testing.
- Embrace Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) and Agile engineering practices in client engagements.
- Lead, mentor, and coach the technical team on client engagements.
- Lead development to ALETHA’s intellectual property and best practices.
- Foster and maintain close working relationships with clients
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in either Computer Science or Engineering.
- At least 7 years of development/architecture experience.
- Experience with high-value payments platforms, preferably FIS OPF (Open Payment Framework), SWIFT/Lynx/LVTS based on real time on cloud / on prem architecture
- Experience with next generation ACH payments solution
- Experience with payment products from leading vendors such as Fiserv, Global Payments, First Data etc. an asset
- Knowledge of ISO
20022 payment standards - Prior professional experience in application development, system integration, cloud native development, cloud infrastructure, and platform-as-a-service
- Prior experience of architecting and designing enterprise level systems
- Strong knowledge and experiences with microservices, serverless, functions, event-driven programming, REST-oriented API, or other cloud native architectures
- Strong knowledge and experiences with Continuous Integration and Delivery (CD/CI), DevOPs pipelines and Agile engineering practices
- Strong communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
