Job OverviewWe are looking for a Database Administrator Specialist with expertise in Oracle Golden Gate and SQL Azure, and experience supporting enterprise-level databases. This role involves working on critical projects for Capital Markets, PBBT, and Retail Banking, including Oracle builds, migrations, performance tuning, and incident resolution. You will join a close-knit team of 20 DBAs, divided into specialized groups, supporting complex troubleshooting and BAU activities across multiple lines of business.
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical resolutions for production incidents and communicate complex issues to stakeholders.
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and resource management.
- Implement and maintain database security policies, including Oracle features (TDE, Data Redaction, Database Vault) and SQL Server features (TDE, Always Encrypted).
- Support RAC, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
- Automate database monitoring and maintenance tasks.
- Participate in incident management, change control, disaster recovery exercises, and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards for change control and security.
- Provide on-call rotational support and collaborate with Solution Design, DB Engineering, Information Security, and external vendors.
- 5–7 years of experience in Oracle Golden Gate or Azure Cloud database administration.
- 2+ years of experience with Postgre
SQL. - Strong skills in database setup, installation, and configuration.
- Expertise in tuning, query optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with cloud migration projects.
- Knowledge of backup, restore, and recovery strategies.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Service Now ticketing system and Solar Winds performance tools.
- Financial industry experience.
