Junior Production Support Analyst

Our client is a large capital markets firm seeking a Junior Production Support Analyst to join their Technical Operations team, supporting a Sell‑Side Order Management System (OMS) used for electronic equities trading.

This role is ideal for recent graduates with a background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Finance who are interested in financial markets, trading technology, and real‑time systems. You’ll gain hands‑on exposure to electronic trading workflows, FIX messaging, and production support in a live market environment, while learning from senior OMS and trading technology specialists.

With training and mentorship, you will:

• Assist with day‑to‑day production support of a Sell‑Side OMS, helping monitor system health and platform stability.
• Support basic FIX connectivity tasks, including session monitoring, log review, and message validation (training provided).
• Help investigate trade flow and order routing issues in real time, escalating when necessary.
• Participate in client onboarding and connectivity testing, supporting new trading relationships.
• Work closely with senior production support, development, and infrastructure teams during deployments and system changes.
• Learn to navigate Linux environments to review logs, monitor services, and support troubleshooting efforts.
• Assist with release activities, restarts, and automation jobs (CI/CD exposure).
• Participate in business continuity and operational readiness exercises.
• Gain exposure to both vendor OMS platforms and a new proprietary OMS being developed internally.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Interest in financial markets, electronic trading, or trading technology.
• Basic understanding of software systems, networking concepts, or databases (academic or internship experience is fine).
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and detail‑oriented in time‑sensitive situations.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.

• Academic or internship exposure to financial markets or capital markets concepts.
• Trading systems, OMS, or EMS platforms.
• FIX Protocol (coursework or curiosity is sufficient).
• Java.
• Co‑op, internship, or part‑time experience in technology, operations, or finance.

• Excellent entry point into Capital Markets technology without requiring prior OMS or FIX experience.
• Hands‑on exposure to real‑time trading systems used by institutional traders.
