Operational Engineer - Amazon Connect & AWS Infrastructure
- Customer has an immediate requirement for an CCaaS developer under Contact Centre Infrastructure (CCI).
- This role will be within the CCI Operations development team which is accountable for continuous service improvement to Amazon Connect.
- We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Engineer with expertise in Amazon Connect and AWS infrastructure to join our dynamic team.
- The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing, optimizing, and securing our cloud-based contact center and associated AWS services.
- The individual will have an in-depth knowledge of cloud contact center technologies, development skills and a broad understanding of enterprise infrastructure needed to address security, stability, and supportability of services.
- Design, implement, and maintain Amazon Connect environments and associated AWS services
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and updates
- Configure and optimize Splunk for log management and analysis
- Set up and maintain Cloud Watch monitoring and alerting systems
- Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications
- Implement and enforce security best practices and governance policies across AWS infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues
- Automate operational tasks and create dashboards for performance monitoring
MUST HAVE Skill sets:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, preferably with AWS
- Strong knowledge of Amazon Connect and its integration with other AWS services
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation)
- Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI)
- In-depth knowledge of Splunk for log management and analysis
- Expertise in Cloud Watch monitoring and alerting configuration
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster management and containerization
- Strong understanding of security best practices and governance in cloud environments
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Eligibility to obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Dev Ops Engineer)
- Experience with contact center technologies and telephony systems
- Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools
- Familiarity with agile methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies
