Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data‑driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.
Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion, and related tasks.

- Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies

- Ability to provide post‑implementation support and resolve any post‑implementation technical issues

- Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
- Ability to provide user and system documentation as required
This position is listed as “Onsite”; the resource is expected to work per calendar day between the standard working hours of 8:00‑5:00 PM (excluding lunch breaks) every Monday to Friday inclusive at the identified OPS office location.
Experience Requirements- Property Registration Software – 40% – Experience with Personal Property Security Registration (PPSR) or similar property registration systems
- Mainframe Environment – 30% – 10+ years of experience designing and developing Mainframe applications in large integrated IMS DB/DC Full Function and FASTPATH environments; experience with hierarchical database technologies such as IMS DB and VSAM, to perform IMS Database Re‑organization, Unload/Reload, and Recovery Control
- Programming Languages – 20% – 10+ years of experience in using COBOL, JCL, Assembly, TSO/ISPF, BTS, Clist, REXX within the last 5 years; 10+ years of experience in programming and analysis; experience in design, code, test, debug, and documenting applications; experience with CAScheduling, MVS File‑Aid and MVS Abend‑Aid tools; experience in the use of third‑generation language development tool CATelOn, and IBMACB, BDBandPSB Generation;
