· Power BI Analyst with government approved Reliability Status security clearance to support our enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives.
· In this role, you will transform complex data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decision making across the organization.
· You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and senior leadership to enable data-driven operations within a secure, compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Business Intelligence Reporting
· Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
· Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable BI solutions.
· Optimize Power BI datasets (Direct Query, Import Mode, dataflows) for performance and governance.
· Ensure consistency and standardization in metrics, KPIs, and data definitions across teams.
· Data Analysis Modeling
· Perform advanced data analysis using DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL.
· Build robust semantic models and star schemas aligned with enterprise data architecture.
· Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks for accuracy and integrity.
· Collaboration Stakeholder Engagement.
· Partner with product owners, actuaries, finance, operations, and IT to deliver meaningful insights.
· Present data findings clearly to nontechnical audiences, including leadership teams.
· Provide training, documentation, and support to business users on BI tools and governance.
· Governance, Security Compliance.
· Ensure compliance with Government of Canada Reliability Status requirements, including secure handling of sensitive but unclassified information.
· Follow Insurance client’s data governance, privacy, and cybersecurity standards.
· Maintain audit ready documentation, access controls, and data lineage tracking.
· Identify opportunities to improve reporting automation and data quality.
· Stay current with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI updates, and industry best practices.
· Contribute to modernization initiatives and enterprise data strategy projects.
