Digital Content Designer

Description - This role operates on a 2-3x/week hybrid basis in Toronto. Candidates must be able to accommodate this schedule.

One of TEKsystems’ largest banking clients is seeking an intermediate-level Content Designer to join their team, supporting a key Digital Portfolio of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Borrow portfolio by maintaining and updating digital content across customer-facing borrowing journeys.

• Translate complex financial and regulatory information into clear, accessible, user-friendly copy.

• Execute UX writing and content design deliverables, including page updates, marketing banners, microcopy, and UI content.

• Perform CMS updates (primarily Contentful or similar) as part of ongoing run work.

• Collaborate closely with Product Designers, Developers, QA, UX Researchers, Product Owners, and other Content Designers.

• Participate in content reviews, portfolio walkthroughs, and feedback cycles.

• Ensure content aligns with brand, accessibility, and design-system standards.

• Work across Canadian and project teams.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in content design, UX writing, copywriting, or content strategy.

• Demonstrated ability to work on digital products from end to end, including collaboration with design, development, and research partners.

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a clear, concise voice.

• Ability to synthesize complex or regulated information into structured, easy-to-understand content.

• Experience updating or managing content in a CMS (Contentful or similar); willingness to learn if exposure is limited.

• Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Background in financial services is not required; candidates from startups, agencies, or adjacent industries are welcome.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Nice-to-Haves

• Hands-on experience with Contentful.

• Familiarity working within design systems using Figma.

• Exposure to marketing banners, UI updates, or product-led content (short-form preferred over long-form articles).
