Job Description
Our client is a a Canadian not-for-profit organization is seeking a skilled IT Security Analyst to help strengthen and maintain its cybersecurity posture. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with deep experience in network and system security, eager to contribute to public-interest infrastructure.
Roles and Responsibilities
Monitor, identify, and respond to security threats and anomalies
Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and incident response
Configure and manage firewalls (including Cisco Meraki) and SIEM platforms
Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise for security improvements
Lead log reviews, system audits, health checks, and forensic investigations
Support awareness training and internal reporting on security practices
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to maintain cyber resilience
Qualifications and Skills
8 + years of cybersecurity or information security experience
Hands-on experience with:
Cisco/Meraki, Microsoft Defender, Azure AD, M365 security
SIEM platforms (Splunk, Snort, YARA, Suricata, etc.)
Penetration testing, patch management, firewalls, IDPS
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, system architecture, and incident response
Excellent communication, analysis, and troubleshooting skills
Must be eligible to work in Canada and able to obtain a security clearance
