We are currently seeking a co-op student to be our data coordinator and join our integrated operational controls team in our Toronto head office.
What You'll Do Here:
Learn about KPIs and supporting metrics that are used across the project to track performanceAssist with developing reporting requirements with functional leads and utilize a standardized approach to performance reportingCommunicate with internal stakeholders to gather performance reporting data and share updates relevant to performance reporting and its processesBe exposed to the use of reporting, cost, scheduling, and financial and other operational systemsSupport the implementation and continuous improvementBe exposed to and assist with the development of dashboards to monitor and analyze performance trendsAnalyze, measure, and report on project goals and objectives, engineering and design performance, construction progress, schedule, financial performance, and other essential KPIs and metricsAd hoc duties related to data analyticsAbility to learn system technologies quicklyExperience with various data platforms such as Microsoft Power BI, Databricks, Apache Spark, Snowflake an assetFamiliarity with data integration, ETL, visualization tools and technologies an assetStrong understanding of data governance, data quality and security best practices an assetStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issuesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyWhat You Bring to the Team:
Co-op student working towards a degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or Information SystemsOrganizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense experience preferredSQL, DAX, Python, R, SAP Webi, or other reporting and data analytics tools an assetKnowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) Industry best practices: PMI, AACEI, etc. an assetEffective inter-personal communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders across different business unitsAbility to work effectively with all levels of management and employeesWillingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledgeDetail oriented
