Developing a sports entertainment app involving computer vision and multi-camera data capture.
Key tasks include:
- Converting existing Python models/code to Swift
- Using multiple camera inputs to capture and synchronize detailed motion data
- Implementing on-device image and pose processing (e.g., iPhone 16)
- Structuring and replicating captured data for analysis — both for internal insights and user-facing features
There are also other projects in the pipeline, including developing new apps from scratch within the sports tech domain.
Core Technical Stack- AVFoundation:
Camera and video capture, synchronized start/stop recording - Vision:
On-device human body pose detection, tracking multiple people - Core ML:
Custom machine learning models for enhanced pose and motion analysis
Main focus areas: AVFoundation, Vision, and Core ML
Profile Requirements- 2+ years of experience in mobile development
- Strong iOS development skills
- Hands-on experience with CoreML, Vision, and AVFoundation
- Android knowledge to assess software cost optimization and feasibility
- Focus on hands-on development and practical problem-solving
- Passion for sports, movement, and/or performance tech
- Prior exposure to AI tools is not required, but openness and curiosity toward AI technologies are highly valued.
Location:
Hybrid in Toronto — 1x per week onsite (Wednesdays, Downtown)
